About HUDrift

Broadcast-grade esports tools, free for everyone.

HUDrift is a free desktop app and web platform that gives streamers, casters and tournament organisers the same broadcast tooling used by professional esports productions — without the agency price tag.

We started HUDrift because grassroots tournaments deserve more than a spreadsheet bracket and a manual scoreboard. Our app plugs into OBS Studio to deliver live overlays, lower thirds and scene control, and our web platform handles tournament signup through Discord with automated check-ins and reminders.

Who it's for

Solo streamers running weekly community cups, university esports clubs, grassroots organisers, content creators broadcasting custom games, and anyone who wants a clean, modern HUD overlaid on their stream without learning After Effects.

What we believe

  • Production tools shouldn't be paywalled away from new casters.
  • Tournaments shouldn't take 6% of the prize pool to host online.
  • Signup, check-in and brackets should live where players already are — Discord.
  • Open beats locked-down: HUDrift integrates with OBS, Discord and Twitch as a first-class citizen.

Behind the name

HUDrift comes from "HUD" — the heads-up display every esports broadcast lives or dies by — and the idea of letting it drift naturally onto your stream without fiddling. One click in OBS, and the production looks like a Major.

The team behind HUDrift is made up of streamers, tournament admins and broadcast engineers who spent years duct-taping OBS scenes, Discord bots and spreadsheet brackets together for their own community cups. We built HUDrift as the all-in-one tool we wished we'd had on day one, and we ship updates every week based on feedback from the community Discord.
