HUDrift vs LHM.gg

LHM.gg (League Handler Manager) is a respected overlay and production tool used by professional esports studios. It does broadcast tooling well but is paid, has no tournament creator, and has a steeper learning curve. HUDrift offers similar broadcast capabilities for free, with a tournament creator built in and a full streaming studio inside the same desktop app. LHM.gg is built around the assumption that your tournament data already exists somewhere else — usually a Start.gg or Challonge bracket you maintain separately — and its job is to render that data on stream. HUDrift collapses both jobs into one app: create the bracket, take Discord signups, run check-ins, report scores, and have the overlay update on stream automatically as games finish. For freelance casters and grassroots organisers, that removes the need for a second subscription and a second tool to keep in sync. Today HUDrift's live game-state overlay is Rocket League only, with Valorant, League of Legends and CS2 on the roadmap. LHM.gg still wins on deep per-scene overlay customisation for tier-1 productions where a dedicated graphics operator is on the desk, but for everyone running events solo or with a small crew, HUDrift covers the same broadcast surface for free with a far shorter setup curve.
