VCT 2026 Expands to 14 Regions: Impact for Casters
Riot's competitive overhaul opens slots for emerging APAC and LATAM Valorant teams and creates a new wave of co-streaming and casting opportunities on Twitch and Kick.
Riot Games has confirmed that the Valorant Champions Tour will expand from 10 to 14 partnered regions for the 2026 season, adding two new APAC slots, one in LATAM South and one dedicated MENA league. The headline number matters less than the second-order effect: a lot more matches to cast, co-stream and watch.
More matches, more casting work
Even a conservative estimate puts the 2026 calendar at roughly 1,800 official VCT matches across all tiers, up from ~1,200 in 2025. That's hundreds of additional broadcast hours that need English, Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic and SEA-language casters — and most regional leagues are explicitly inviting community co-streams to fill the gap.
Co-streaming rules: largely unchanged
Riot's existing watch-party guidelines carry over for 2026. Approved Twitch and YouTube co-streamers can broadcast official VCT matches with on-screen commentary, with a few restrictions on monetization during select international events. Kick co-streaming is still being handled case-by-case at the league level.
The opportunity for new casters
Historically, breaking into Valorant casting meant grinding regional Challengers leagues for years. With four new top-tier regions launching from scratch, several leagues are openly recruiting community broadcasters and overlay producers for their inaugural seasons — particularly in MENA and LATAM South.
